In only three short days, I'll be 23. 23 sounds old. Why? maybe because I surround myself with 10 and 11 year olds on a weekly basis. At work, I'm "young" but at the same time I'm also one of the oldest of the "young people." I used to occasionally occuse Cristy of being "old" and she's only four years older than me. And at the same time, I often forget that Matt's sister is three years older than me because she acts sooo young.
The good news of all of this is that I have a wonderful birthday adventure planned. I don't intend to waste my last birthday as Amy Gallagher by sitting around the house feeling old. I'm going to FINALLY get to see my cousin, Beth, march in a parade and hopefully we'll have some time to just hang out together afterwards before I head out to leave my car at Clare House. From there, Kim & I will surely find ourselves at an Applebee's before we head over to our class. After class, we'll be meeting a bunch of my friends, old and new, for some good old fashioned karaoke. We're going to try to get Sister Annie & Sister Kathy to sing Only the Good Die Young. I'll post later as to whether we were successful or not. I'm also holding out hope that somebody will want to sing We Didn't Start the Fire with me... I'm too chicken to sing it alone but I know all the words... I just need someone to be brave enough to attempt it with me. I'm really excited that a lot of my friends are going to get to meet each other on my birthday. It'll make the wedding so much more fun if they sort of know each other beforehand. I really think that they'll get along well. Can we say "I love David Bowie!"???

The reply has been written... and now we wait. I really hate suspense.

*sigh*
I know a few girls who I think need diamond rings. If you happen to be dating one of those girls, get off your butt & get out to the jewlery store already! Obviously I really like you AND said girl both as individuals and as a couple. I want y'all to stick around. Ya know? Need help? Just ask! I'd be more than happy to. I only have one job now, so I have TIME for social things like shopping... and karaoke! Er, that has nothing to do with diamond rings.

This is a test. Let's see if this ftp junk works now.

ARGH!!!! FTP is very frustrating when it doesn't work the way I think it should.

ftp & blogger are being rather stubborn today. Hopefully something will fix itself tonight by the time I get home so that I don't have to bother Matt too much tonight. I'm off to work my first daylight shift in a very long time.

It's official... my journal is moving to http://butterfly.baldninja.com/blog/
The rest of the pages are up & hopefully working well and I'll now be able to update all my pages much more easily than before thanks to Matt & Steve.

*edited to add: OK, maybe not right now, but definitely by this time tomorrow. Darn me for using more than one computer to do these things.

I'm experimenting with some new software I've been downloading... don't mind me if there are several very random posts in the next few days.

Change is in the air! My homepage will be moving soon to a new domain name, as will this blog. I'm attempting to condense all of my web stuff to one place. My new domain will be http://butterfly.baldninja.com For now all my links are staying the same on here until I get everything totally transfered.

The fluxuating weather has brought on my first illness of the "winter." My head feels like it's about to explode, yet the sun is shining & it's WARM. I want to run outside & enjoy it while it's here, yet at the exact same time all I want to do is lie in bed with a box of tissues, a jug of water & a good book.
After tonight I'll only have two more sessions of my Morality class and then I'll be certified to teach Catholic Vision of Love in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. I'm really hoping that by teaching the entire year myself I'll be able to incorporate the CVOL lessons into my regular curriculum and save us some time to have "fun" at the end of the year. I might get the kids to plan a party for the parish to celebrate the feast day St. Matthias. I'm not entirely sure how feasible this is, though... If we get a good turn out it could be expensive.

Pray for me. I've got some hardcore forgiving to do and I can't figure out how I'm going to do it. It's hard because, every time I get close to a solution, the person does or says something that causes all the hurt to come back. Email me if you have any suggestions.
