I'm online for good now!!!
*I have cable TV AND Internet access.
*4 out of my 5 living room windows have curtains.
*I own a HUMIDIFIER. Breathing at night is a happy thing. So is the lack of static electricity.
*My kitchen table and chairs were purchased at nearly 75% off. And they're pretty.
*I have a butterfly clock, but no way to hang it. Boo.
I'm so glad to be back online. Just in time to start preparing for Lent. Anybody planning to give anything unusual up for Lent this year? Email me... I'll post some responses here (anonymous unless you tell me to use your name)
I have a hard time coming up with something to give up. When I was a kid, I'd change my mind every other day. In college, I gave up a TV show. But that was never much of a sacrifice because 3 or 4 out of the 5 weeks were repeats. Then I stopped giving things up & started doing MORE/extra stuff. That was how I met Sister Mary Nicholas Matro. She had some great stories.
This year, I want to give something up, but I also want to take something on. My plan is to take on the task of focusing myself enough to keep a routine and say the Rosary each day. I can't figure out what to give up, though. I'm taking suggestions.
